Description

The constellation of Orion is undoubtedly the richest in deep objects of undoubted interest. Among these, one of the most spectacular, is the complex around the star Alnitak, the most easterly of the 3 stars of Orion's belt. Located at about 1500 light years we see the Horsehead nebula (B33), a dark nebula with a characteristic shape that stands out in front of the sea of ionized hydrogen represented by the nebula IC434. To its right we can see NGC 2024, the Flame Nebula, while just below the Horse's Head we see the reflection nebula NGC 2023 with its characteristic celestial colour.
